There are quite a few dirt roads near Lemhi Pass and few trails. Nevertheless, there are not many people and the country is open. You might walk along the the Continental Divide.

This is beautiful wildflower country from mid-June to mid-July. Check with the Forest Service so you can avoid the places they have allowed the cattle in for the best hiking.
