Hello Mats and hello Nick. many thanks for your most kind comments and appreciation of this image of the graceful work of the cranberry harvest. I am thanking you now because I decided to change my entry in the NPC. all the best. Robert

It's always difficult to choose photos, depending on your memories with the photo (that perhaps not other people see) and how you think other people will like your photo. And you'll never know if your choice was right or not :-), and actually it doesn't matter. Good luck. Cheers, Mats.

mats, you are so, so right, it actually does not matter. What matters is what I think of each of these images, and that has not changed one bit before or after the change I made. Really, many thanks for engaging on this question, and thanks again for your appreciation. very best regards, robert

Hi Robert ~ well I wish you luck with your new choice ~ my vote is still for this one ~ but that of course now disappears into the mists of time :))) ~ All the best ~ nick

All the best from Iran, Mahdi

thank you Mahdi. It is a zone of cranberry cultivation, with many little ponds. this water is actually temporary, flooded just for the harvest. thanks for your interest and appreciation. best regards, robert

robert manz on February 25, 2011

hello Mats, I am very grateful to you and Nick for your early comments on this; in the end, my decision to come back to it was driven by the thought that I wanted to enter an image I made a couple of years ago more than one I made thirty years ago. thanks so much for your interest. best regards, robert
