Fantastic indeed! Cheers friend!

The spot of sunlight really makes them pop! Yes, totally brilliant.

Thanks so much for those comments Dianne, oronbb and Jean ! Believe it or not, this photo doesn't do the actual scene there any justice at all. The lake was a deep green, and the colored leaves glowing against the dark sky. It was probably the most stunning sight on that whole day trip. There's quite a few alternate views that I'll try to upload. Definitely gotta learn how to work with RAW files to see if I can get some other shots to be as intense as the real thing was.

Fantastic shot! But I hear you seems fall is one of the hardest seasons to capture on screen if you go for the big shot like this one. Wish we could all have been in the car with you but this is the next best thing! Wonderful shot!

Well, it seems that you put your displacement to good use, kamaly. This one's a perfect setting and capture. You even made use of the Rule of Unequal Fourths. Well done!

Thanks JF* ! LOL, if you'd been in the car with me, you'd all probably have been down at the Gorge with all the other photographers :D But it would certainly be fun to have a Panoramio Fall Foliage Tour where we could all proudly spread out around the sites with tripods, and compete for photos!

Thanks muchly n1w! LOL, I hadn't noticed the Unequal Fourths here, but yup, now that you say it, there it is. I had been partly aiming on the Rule of S curves! Definitely have to read my book on how to work with RAW to get this one to be better.

Thanks very much for those nice comments Alex and Simona ! It's nice when nature provides the show, and all one has to do is click!

Ahahaa! I love Dianne's comment at the top. Your photography got her all in a tizzy, kamaly!

diannemcd on October 31, 2009

Hi who & kamaly you are so right who the colours you send us out of America and Canada are something just so special.

Ah! Memories! I travelled along that Kancamagus recently enjoying the beautiful Fall colours, Unfortunately, I was on a coach and not able to stop for such lovely photos. Thanks Kamaly and G'day!

kamalyn on October 31, 2009

Ha-ha, who - and Thanks again Dianne!

And Thanks M! I do hope they stopped at at least a few of the vistas along the road - that's what the Kancamagus is made for! But just the ride itself would be worth it, having all of the colors swirling around. And I can imagine that stops like this one would be difficult for a bus-full, because they'd never be able to round up everyone to leave in a reasonable amount of time, lol. I know I'd be off wandering to spots like this off the main trail. Looking forward to your photos!
