Love how the greenery is growing up that building and is being kept trimmed away from the windows Jim. Would love to be right here shopping!! (:>) Wasn't this one in another photo, shot from the other end of the street? not sure, just thought so. I like it a lot! Sarah

Fantastic picture. Greetings John.

The village is trapped in a kind of time warp Gabe.. there are a number of artefacts that indicate the obsolescence of this quaint old place ;>)

You are quite right Sarah and very observant too!! The items on sale in this shop could just as easily have been purchased way back in the early 1900's!!--Post cards, Kodak film, Iced cream, Prawn nets, sun hats not forgetting the ubiquitous children's essential--a windmill with bucket and spade!!

Greetings John, always a pleasure when you drop in, thanks for your lovely compliment ;>)

Cheers for now

Jim

Maps, Guides, Books, Toys. I can easily spend hours in this store. As for the Beers, Wines and Spirits: my favorite drink is Cola light.

Best regards, Claus

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on November 29, 2009

Me too Claus~~~I was never a slave to the demon drink!! Although I must confess a liking for Cola light with the addition of a certain product from the Caribbean, namely white rum! add a slice of lemon..and some ice!! ~~~~~I also like Cheryl Cole!

Hello Mathew, how nice to see you again ;>) your visit and nice comment is much appreciated ;>)

If you don't mind I would love to add you on my favourite photographers list. Best regards happyworld Manchester:=)

Jimmy Evans. I went to school with you. Was it just the Mount or did you go to the Grammar School too? Leafy, Bossy Burton? I, like you, am a photo fanatic. I just started posting onto Google Earth. I live in Canada now. Contact me at robinshepherdson@videotron.ca - I'd love to exchange notes.
