The beautiful trim work around the doors in this last set of photoes is so unusual and just makes the entrances pop! Looking on through this passage way into that vista out beyond, is such an awesome view, Jim..Such great places to photograph... thanks!!

Very nice shot. Greetings John.

This was a most interesting house, it being part of a terrace with access from these narrow ginnels (alleyways)

The features and detailing of the wooden frames have withstood the test of time (around 400 years) since they are protected from the worst of the elements!!

Hello Sarah O I'm glad that you enjoyed this photo and appreciated the ornate woodwork..all of it was quite unique!!

Hi! Jim66 Your full title given here Jim ;.) just to avoid any confusion ;>) There are those here that would think I have gone over the edge by writing to myself!! Thanks for stopping by ;>)

©junebug.. I had been planning to visit this photogenic location for some time Anne!! Perhaps I take too many shots of old buildings but I find them so interesting, so characterful! thank you so much for your valuable opinion ;>)

♥♫♥ TIFFANY ♥♫♥... so good to see you here again my friend and I am so glad to share these images with you.. I am grateful for your lovely compliments, it makes it all worth while!!

No such thing as too many shots of such a wonderful village. We all wish we could be there with you...so we have to settle for your lovely shots. The more the merrier.

Imagine this being your back door! I love the contrast between the shiny elegant white door casing, the substantial glossy brown ones, and the rough stone? ones.

Lovely view, wouldn't mind having one like this out of my window...

Greetings, Anette

Hi Jim Nice shot here looking through the arch and the flowers just add that bit of colour to the shot well done Jim a Y* I like it.Regards Alan :))

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on October 13, 2009

joyfotos..I was most certainly feeling intrusive at this point..expecting an occupant to spring out angrily at any time!!

AL1612...I live very close to the sea Anette, enjoying spectacular views to the ocean across the old town...but here above the sea, I can imagine the noise on a stormy night would be deafening!!

top spotter---thats a fine compliment on my work Alan and I am humbled, yet proud that you should choose to award this image a YS!!

Bánfalvi Suzi Natusk…....these lovely little views through the houses could be seen everywhere in the village!!...It was a very close neighbourhood, right up to the 1980s...now almost all these cottages are holiday homes!! Thank you for your generous comment Natuska ;>)

My viewpoint was chosen to give this tantalising view of the bay..I forgot to take a shot of what can be seen from the other end of the passage!!

白云黑土 dear baiyunheitu, many thanks for your good comments ;>)

digitaaal~~~~Romantic was not an emotion that I felt here, but who knows, a key for the door, a cosy room, a little low, light some mood music, a little wine and a beautiful woman...I could perhaps be very indiscreet ;>))

steve111...nothing would give me greater pleasure than to buy you that beer...there's a good choice of the very best pubs down in the village ;>)

⚛ Roman Horník ⚛~~~~I think that you know my region well now Roman...I have enjoyed your friendly visits and good comment ;>)
