Wonderful!

Thank you Sergio. I had some nice photos (according to me :-)) about fairy dances in the northern Swedish summer midnight (which is fantastic to experience), but I was afraid that it did not look too much of a night for other people. So I chose a real winter night photo instead, with completely darkness, 20 degrees cold, in the middle of the Swedish mountains and a nice northern light. Also a fantastic experience. Greetings, Mats.

Ah ah, you're right! I didn't think in the rules about the summer, bright night in high latitudes... Thank you for avoiding me such a problem about rules interpretation! :)

WOW! (There are no other words! I wish I had been there.)

matsljungberg on September 7, 2011

Thank you VKeith. It was a very nice and spectacular moment. Greetings, Mats.

Hi Mats, stunning scenery. Northern lights are amazing, I just hope to see on my own one day. Good luck in the NPC!

matsljungberg on September 11, 2011

Thank you Hubert J for your very kind comments. Northern light is amazing, and you see it better in darker locations, e.g. in the middle of the mountains, and there you have a very special feeling. I have only seen it 3-4 times in my life, and that has been during ski trips in the winter in the northern mountans. In southern Sweden you don't see it. Greetings, Mats.

Congratulazioni per il risultato nell'NPC.

Un saluto, Sandro & Cristina

Amelia Royan on September 21, 2011

Second is definitely the best place to be Mats. Congratulations on this excellent result :))

Beste hilsener, Amelia

Grazie mille Sandro & Cristina per le congratulazioni. Saluti dalla Svezia, Mats.

matsljungberg on September 21, 2011

Thank you Amelia for your congratulations, and I am glad that people liked the photo. Second is normally a good position if you do not want to find a good subject for the next contest (but last time it did not help :-)). Hälsningar, Mats.

Hubert J on September 21, 2011

Mats, congratulations! Your photo and Andrea's were my two favorite pictures in this month's NPC. I'm glad you got two first places, and I'm also really happy that I finished right behind you (that's something that I didn't expect) :-)). Greetings from Poland!

Sergio Canobbio on September 21, 2011

Mats, congratulations for your result in the NPC. While it would not have probably been correct for me to make an appreciation while I was the moderator, I now have to say yours was one of my favourite photos in the NPC. Cheers, Sergio.

matsljungberg on September 21, 2011

Thank you Hubert J for your congratulations and I am glad you liked the photo. I am also glad for the winner, who had a very good photo. Also congratulations to your 3rd place. You also had a very nice photo from Santorini, in some way like the winner photo, and it was included in my last selection for voting. Greetings from Sweden, Mats.

matsljungberg on September 22, 2011

Thank you Sergio for your congratulations and kind comments. And thank you for a good contest. Cheers, Mats.

Herb Riddle on September 22, 2011
