Good shot! I've never seen a weather vane this unusual. All the best from the UK, purdey

Thanks, Purdey! It's REAL New England! Its on a very 'quaint' lobster pound right on the water in downtown Boston. Here's a better shot of it that's too much of a detail to be GE-approved. Greetings from Boston :)

It is pretty neat, and someone did a nice job on the cedar shingles.
The other picture is haunted, went about a half inch further with the links, a second click I see the whole picture as a pixel blur. ??

I'll rack my brain and see if I can figure out some way to link you to the new shot in a way you can open it. That might take a while, though! Is it only this shot that's being such a problem? But meanwhile, here's a link to a shot of Kamaly's page of the morning of the fire...(they'd already rescued the lobster at this point.)

I've looked at your link too and what a disaster!. What an unusual weather-vane. Glad to see in the other photo that it has been re-built. Great photos.
Here's a very different question for you. What are the white dotted lines in the Google map. Are they shipping channels?

Thanks, marbiz - it was a great little old building. After the lobster, the signage was the best part.
The dotted lines over water on the maps are typically ferry routes.
