It took some twenty shots to get this shot, but the waiting was worth it. Across Ontario's Canadian Shield are hundreds of thousands of lakes, many of them nameless and uninhabited like this one. But in the early fall, nature makes the ordinary seem exceptional, and the reflected blue sky adds to what is already remarkable. indyj@rogers.com

Hi Indy,
Beautiful fall photograph. Nameless and uninhabited places are often the best places to seek and find a new look on anything from photography to painting. There are places which I think have been photographed to death. The image no longer carries any emotional message.
This image because of its freshness does as you say make the ordinary seem exceptional. Sorry to have got all philosophical about it but sometimes you do have to have a fresh look.
Regards
Steven

Thank you, Ahmet. The autumn colours here last very briefly, so they must be captured quickly. You and I share an interest in mountains. You have a lovely portfolio of Turkish mountains, and it makes me want to visit your country. Beautiful work! Indonesia Jones
