Okay, here we have the Castle, entire. Which makes one even more curious about it and its past, Peter..? I suppose one can Google it, but if you have any info, that would be welcome, too.
It looks like a fascinating, very old place. Even more dramatic in black & white.

Hi Hazel, I wished to have added a nice comment on each picture and I normally would, were it not for the speed of internet here... I was already very glad to be able to upload my pics... To add comments is something I'll be doing later. But anyway, on this one, Gonder was the capital of Ethiopia around the 17th century and the castle you see is Emperor's Fasilides'!
Check here for some more info!
By the way, the history of Ethiopia is RICH, very RICH!!! When in Europe we were still running after rabbits, guys here were putting up monuments to make any Pharaoh proud!!
Ironically, the situation nowadays is somewhat the opposite... Though I haven't seen many rabbits here...
Well done Black and white tone variation Peter, lights and shadows are perfect balanced. greetings. Greetings from Italy, Vittorio
Thanks Vittorio for the nice words!
B&W fits a castle quite well, in my opinion! I'm glad you like it!
