Beautiful patch of mountain laurel blooming along the Riprap/Wildcat Ridge Trail. This one was taken about a mile down the trail from the Wildcat Ridge parking area on the Skyline Drive ~MP 92.

Lovely photo..great shades of green with the sun shining through and the white laurel is a wonderful contrast. I live about 1.25 hours from Skyline Drive. It is most certainly a beautiful place.

YBMW, I want to thank you a lot for taking the time to comment on so many of the pictures in my gallery. I wanted to reply to this one in particular, as you mentioned you live nearby. It is such an amazing area. I actually live very close, only about 10 minutes from the southern end of the Skyline Drive, so I go hiking there and in the Blue Ridge Parkway quite often. I'm in grad school in New York right now, which is why it's taken me a while to respond to all your comments (finals are coming up...) but I really appreciate them. I'm glad that you too live near this beautiful area!
