All are lovely, Hazel, and I wish I had room to grow them all. Theolfa

ONE AND ALL - COME VISIT THEOLFA'S ACRES OF IRISES - IT MAY TAKE A WHILE BUT SHE'S DETERMINED TO EXPAND TO 20 ACRES..." ;D

Have I got it right, Theolfa - or am I only daydreaming too..??

Cheers, Hazel

You are daydreaming, Hazel, my backyard is only about 10 square metres in size, I'll take a photo later this morning to prove it. But I do have a few Irises growing there.

Your blue Iris is a Super duper flower, Theolfa - it looks very happy. I'm sure you will find some beautiful companions for it and slowly build up a colourful little collection in a cosy corner.

Our garden is small too, (Townhouse) and I nearly had a nasty brush with an enormous lone Baboon just now, whilst watering some patio plants. I looked up and there he was, walking towards me and the patio door behind me, to come into the house. I yelled at him to go away but he took no notice, and was about to walk around me, so I ran for the door, slid it shut just ahead of him and locked it, and the two of us glared at each other through the glass. Then he turned around and ambled off out of the garden.

A very narrow squeak! He could have trashed my kitchen, pulping the papayas, lemons & tomatoes and opening the refrigerator/freezer & kitchen cupboards (Baboons are very bright!)

He is a large, lone baboon, (banished from his pack), as broad as an average man, but only about 4 feet tall, and very powerful, but he wasn't threatening, just foraging off the mountain slopes behind us.

Cheers, Hazel

Oh, Hazel, what a fright! I'm sure I'd have had an 'accident'. (I don't suppose you had your camera handy?) ;D Theolfa
