A wonderful view!

I noticed with interest that you have a new scanner & it even looks affordable. Are most of these shots from slides or prints? My scanner does fine for prints but I have yet to find one that will do well with slides.

Thanks jf.

I have added a tag "From Slides" so that you can see at a glance what the results are like.

Cheers, Keith

Thanks a bunch. It does a great job with slides also. I am still saving my pennies:)

Capturing the different colours of the mountains is always an achievement in my mind, rather than plain, bland colours. Nice work. :) I'm guessing you trekked up to Halin Fell too then.

Many thanks throzen. I'm not much of a mountaineer but have "scaled" Hallin Fell 3 times (well you can drive half way, can't you?). The highest place I have climbed to was Esk Hause, when I took a wrong turning on the way to Styhead!

You are correct in saying you can drive half way up, which is the chosen route I took when I visited Halin Fell. I was divided on my thoughts about it - on part of me thought it was somewhat cheating, but another thought it cut half the effort. The road up was terrifying though, first gear all the way due to the steepness. Horrific!
