The monument in the foreground is the Mound of Undefeated (Macedonian: Могилата на непобедените, transliterated: Mogilata na nepobedenite) erected to honor the people who died while fighting fascism during World War II.
The city of Prilep in the background has been considered "a hero city" due to the fact that within it started the uprising against foreign occupations in Macedonia on October 11, 1941.
