c.s~~~Greetings and many apologies for my late response Claus..especially since you left your seasons greetings and excellent comment ;>) Well the cold weather just got worse since this shot and even tonight, the snow continues to fall..
Joerg Petersen~~~To you also I offer my humble apologies Jorg...quite unforgivable really...you must both think me very rude ...it must be said that I enjoyed your extensive comments and look forward to seeing your shots of the QM2 ;>)
Nick Weall...I wont be surprised to read your next comment asking me which planet have I been on dear Nick...I'm sorry for the late reply..but there we are..I'm grateful for your humorous reply ..you lighten up my day with your canny wit, of which you are well equipped!
romavolzskij...The township turned out in their hundreds to witness this event _Roma ;>) The QM2 would never come this close to shore!! In this case, the captain of this fine ship, who is a native of this town, decided to bring her close by in memory of a well known, highly respected local hero (lifeboat man RNLI) who had recently died!
Many thanks for your patience and kind regards to you all ;>)
Good capture, well done
Greetings guys ;>)
Rarely do I see ocean liners so near to the coast. The visit of the QMII was a special occasion and was scheduled to arrive at this point in time. I was surprised at her proximity to the coast..There was not too much water under her keel at this point...
I'm grateful for your visit and nice comments ;>)
