william the conqueror must have loved Salisbury to build such a lovely Cathedral. great shot Nick.

studio4t1 ~ A very good morning to you Tone and thanks for your compliments ~ please forgive me clarifying things a bit though as William the Conqueror died in 1087 and the existing Cathedral was built between 1220 and 1258AD or so but it did replace the old Norman Cathedral ~ William the Conqueror had had that one built at Old Sarum and some of the stone from that Cathedral was used to build the existing one. All the best to you from nick

You are proberbly right then i was only going on what some Sailsbrians had told me about William losing an arrow and saying where ever it falls Build a Cathedral. but i also recal William the Conqueror building at Old Sarum. All the best to you from Tone.

Great presentation of this wonderful cathedral!

Would like to see so many things of Great Britain with my own eyes, well, something for the older days I guess...

Thanks for sharing it now, Nick!

Best wishes, Wolf ;°)
