studio4t1 ~ A very good morning to you Tone and thanks for your compliments ~ please forgive me clarifying things a bit though as William the Conqueror died in 1087 and the existing Cathedral was built between 1220 and 1258AD or so but it did replace the old Norman Cathedral ~ William the Conqueror had had that one built at Old Sarum and some of the stone from that Cathedral was used to build the existing one.
