To each their own jethrohoyt I would feel a lot more comfortable in acres of open countryside on my own! However in the true spirit of Panoramio you have allowed me to see another region of the world.
Many Thanks Kenny

Watch this space Kenny ol' chum, because I am going to be spending a lot of time hereabouts. I plan to do my best at capturing the essence for the benefit of us countryside lovers.
Course I'll probably just end up taking pictures of owls instead!
Thank you for your kind words and your visit, they are both always much appreciated.

Jesus. This picture, and then the map to the right. Zoom out of the map a bit. That's what you call a BIG population.

WOW well spotted whoelius I never got that far as I was too traumatized just looking at the loose roof slates above the brick gate pillar. Thanks jethrohoyt for this photo and please post more Chinese architecture.

Thank you for your visit Whoelius and your observations to you and to Kenny.
15 years ago, Shanghai was so busy and so populated that they had to stagger 'weekends' because if they gave everyone the same day of the week off, then certain places would be overwhelmed. This is not so today as it is so much more like an international (if dense) city anywhere else. It is however, a big bloomin' place.
