Really funny the spanish word never occurred to me before here as it was in my second Spanish lesson I learned this word (called "Hoy voy a Sagunto") some 20 years ago. And that's all I remember well after the long time, the rest of it pretty much lost I'm afraid. And even funnier to think of it now as the name of this island ;o) And you are right it's much better to live in the present than in the past indeed!

Da dieser Name eine ungeahnte Vielfalt an Assoziationen zu bieten scheint, hat es mich jetzt doch mal interessiert woher dieser Name eigentlich kommt. Also, der Name leitet sich von dem altnorwegischen Háey ab, was sich mit "hohe Insel" übersetzt. Wenn die alten Norweger wüßten, wieviel Spaß man heute mit diesem Namen haben kann! ;o)
