Cadono gli uomini, si cancellano i loro simboli, ma la Storia rimane immutata, non si cancella. Per alcuni è stata onore ed orgoglio, per altri è stata tristezza e terrore, per tutti c'è stata la fine. Bisogna sperare che quelli che vengono dopo siano migliori dei predecessori. Ciò che saranno, la Storia lo dirà, immancabilmente ed indelebilmente.
Men fall, their symbols are erased, but the history remains unchanged, it's impossible erase it. For some it was honor and pride, for others it was sadness and terror, for all there was the end. We hope that those who come after may be better than their predecessors. What they will be, history will tell us, inevitably and indelibly.
