Panorama - Fairview Bridge - Vertical Lift Railroad Bridge

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

This historic bridge was once used as both a rail and highway bridge. The cars would use it when the trains weren't. It is a vertical lift draw bridge used to allow river boats passage up the Yellowstone River in days past. The bridge is no longer used by either the railroad or by cars. It has been fitted with a walking surface for pedestrian use.
