I read your comment above. It is a little sad. When I grew up in Kamloops in the 1970's and 80's we played in the street, the yards the parks, the school down the road. I lived in Westsyde area, a little less urban than your photo, but still we did sometimes have bears wander through. At those times (usually autumn) we would just exercize more care. I feel sad that the children no longer play in the streets, but this is life in many places now. Makes me wonder what the world is coming to.

hi Vicki, i almost missed your comment.. i am very glad that I invoke with my images from Kamloops your memories of childhood spent in that city.. people are increasingly alienated from each other since childhood, due to various reasons.. i call that: "off-civilizing"
