is it a bulding from the corner or a pole of the bridge?

Matthew Walters, on January 2, 2007, said:

It's the corner of a building. The Hancock Tower is a 60-storey office block.

I like the abstract appearance, which I heightened a bit by increasing the brightness and contrast to give a very simple black and white image.

See Wikipedia for more detail and some history.

So simple, so good. You have a nice set of monchrome pictures! I am going to upload some of my own under the same tag.

Thanks Bo. I sometimes think that colour can distract from a simple image. For example, this had a slightly washed out sky and looked a bit dull. I think the mono work-over has added something to it, rather than just take away the colour.

Fantastic. I love mono, your set is very nice. Agree about high key. Beautiful work in post production.
