Blandwood Mansion was the home of North Carolina governor John Motley Morehead from 1827 until 1866 and served as quarters for CSA General P.G.T. Beauregard during the Civil War. The residence was originally built in 1795, and named after builder Charles Bland. One of the oldest places in downtown Greensboro, Blandwood Mansion was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Foxx Trotter, This is a very elegant mansion. It's of a timeless classical beauty and looks as serene as a villa in an Italian landscape.

Greetings, May

Thanks. That villa style was actually added later on in 1846. It was originally a farmhouse.
