This former hotel in Cimiez, just across the road from the Roman Amphitheatre and Villa des Arenes Museum, is now converted into flats. In 1938 Henri Matisse made his home and had his studio here until he moved to the Villa Le Reve in Vence (See www.panoramio.com/photo/2814499) in 1943 to avoid the bombing of Nice. He moved back to Le Regina in 1949.
