Thanks, Guy! I couldn't believe how many times I have walked by this tree without really seeing it. I think this time I was coming from a different direction. But it sure was a great day to spot it as it was just a good day for taking photos!

Great catch. That poor tree has been through the mill and still hangs in there.

Majid it is nice to have you back for a visit! I see you have some great new shots up. I will be back for a longer look soon.
Thanks, Sonja glad you enjoyed my photo. I was a bit amazed myself when I looked at this one on the screen. It is hard to truly capture the color.
Thanks Roberto! I think it was the light being just perfect. Could hardly believe it!
You are right, Margot! Isn't it amazing?

It is a beautiful short walk. It is right in town put when you climb the hill you feel you are totally alone in nature. I try to walk up there whenever I am in this town and have a few minutes. It has been beautiful all fall but the camera never saw the color very well. But yesterday there was enough color on the ground and the yellows were a deep yellow. Then as I was headed back and spotted this tree it was the soft mellow evening light that you get sometimes that just lights everything up. I was so excited that I could show everyone what it truly looked like to walk in this woods.

Hi Sam glad to see you making the rounds again. I was just wondering the other day how things were with you! Yes, I think you would enjoy a walk here very much.
Kyle it is a small forest. A remnant left on the hilltop above town. I was there a week or so before and then a couple days later. Neither had the colors of this day. I got lucky that time. Good night back at you!
Francisco I had great fun shooting this shots. I am glad to see that you enjoyed them as well.

Thanks Laurel! I was so excited that the camera finally saw the colors in the woods that day. Think it was a combination of the leaves on the ground and the light.
