Hey, thanks Melkan. It's funny you should mention Escher... one of my all time favourite books is Gödel, Escher, Bach, The Eternal Golden Braid, by Douglas Hofstader, and this photo is one of a series inspired by the book.
The series is entitled Ricercar - A Tonal Fugue Of Pho(to)nics. If you know the book, you'll understand ..I've emailed the author to see what he thinks. I wonder if I'll get a reply?
