Wow Ian what a nice bird and picture. You maybe know that I like it to try to photograph birds. Greetings Berend
Wow, that's incredible, Ian! Very nice placement of the white gull against the dark abyss and framed by the rough textured rock. Theolfa
This is really a fantastic capture, Ian! The bird seems to be flying directly into your camera! It also makes a beautiful contrast against the dark rock! Greetings, Anne
Dear Anne, Theolfa and Berend.
Thank you, dear friends. She was riding the breeze that was onshore and therefore uplifting over the high cliffs, but every so often she would return to her cave where I presume she had chicks.
On this occasion only a little patience was required though her movements were more erratic than I expected.
Morning greetings from Tonga,
I very much enjoyed sitting on the edge of a cliff, partly enclosed in a cavity in the limestone, watching the white-tailed tropic bird playing on the uplifting wind, returning to and leaving its nest in a cave.
a wonderful journey you present us with, Ian !
Hi Michael. It is great to hear from you, even if it is after 1am here. That's a good note to send me to bed. Thanks for the compliment - I will try to write some more story and finish the series soon. Keep your colourful imagery coming and your imagination excited my friend.
Perfect capture, really nice action shot Ian...
Wow, great shot. Greetings from Greetje.

I am delighted that you both appreciate this moment and this creature.
What an incredible moment dear Ian! GGR
Dear Fü and Liam,
It is great that you can share my moment of joy. I wasn't as successful at photographing this bird side on. It has long fine tail feathers.
Amazing capture. Great photo. Best Wishes from Brazil. Silvy
Thanks for exploring my album and for all your special selections and appreciative comments.
Warmest greetings to Brazil from Australia,
Ian (currently in Tonga, though)
The bird almost looks as if it is a hole in the cliff that you are looking up into Ian! She even has bird markings on her plumage. What a lovely photo :)
Warm greetings, Amelia
