Thank you, not1word. I must admit that I hadn't thought about the sound of the neon, I assume the noise from the bars and people cruising on Ocean Drive would make it impossible to hear it. I haven't stayed at this hotel (just like their pretty neon sign...), but at a couple of the others on Ocean Drive. I don't remember hearing the sound from the neon signs... but I imagine the blue light could give it a film noir feeling. And I don't think people get much sleep on Ocean Drive anyway... ;-)
