SUVA PLANINA (Dry Mountain), TREM 1810 m

Severni krak ide do sela Crvena reka (opština Bela palanka). Zapadni krak ide do Niške banje i predstavlja najviši deo Suve planine. SUVA PLANINA (Dry Mountain) is one of the most impressive mountain ranges in Southern Serbia. The massif of Suva Planina is 45 km long and it is placed on SE from Niš town. The highest peak of Suva Planina range is Trem (1810 m) peak with its high and impressive vertical rocky NE wall dominate more than 1000 m above the Kosmovac village. Composition of Dry Mountain is primary lime stoned and most of the mountain range above 1500m is dry without any water. The name Suva planina issued from the fact that there is only few springs in the whole mountain.
