Bangladesh is a just a small country in Asia that much people know of, but it has some of the world’s largest and most amazing buildings and places. For example, Bangladesh has one of the largest coastal mangrove forests in the world. Bangladesh is located in Southern Asia, bordering the Bay of Bengal, between Burma and India. It has a small area of 56, 977 sq. Mi (147,570 sq. Km). In the world map it is found 24 00 N and 90 00 E. It is slightly smaller than Iowa. Bangladesh is mostly filled small alluvial plain and hilly in the southeast. The main seasons in Bangladesh are winter (Nov-Feb), summer (Mar-Jun), and monsoon (Jul-Oct). The major cities in Bangladesh are Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, and Dhaka. Some of the major rivers are Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Brahmaputra, Madhumati, Surma and Kushiara. The natural hazards in Bangladesh are mainly droughts and cyclones which happen a lot in the monsoon season.
