This is a cropped and edited version of Dover Castle Fog from St Martin`s Battery, Dover UK (1), the caption of which begins:

A 500ft-high bank of sea fog from the English Channel flowing into the River Dour valley and about to obscure Dover Castle on the far side.

The three masts (originally four), located at Swingate, date from the Second World War and were part of the Gee Chain.

Image taken from St Martin`s Battery on the Western Heights Sunday, 8th of April, 2007.

This is the third of three photos charting the progress of the Fog bank. The first shows it approaching the Tidal Harbour and Granville Dock, and the second shows the fog bank missing Wellington Dock prior to producing the above image.
