With more than 70 years of competition, TC is a historic category of car races that is still the most popular in Argentina, attracting dozens and even hundred of thousand fans to each race throughout the country. When it started cars were slightly modified versions of tourism cars, adapted more for endurance than speed, as roads didn’t allow it! With time, cars evolved and for safety reasons races were held only in closed tracks. The cars depicted in this series are replicas of the historic two door (cupés) vehicles of the early times, in which names as Fangio, Gálvez , Emiliozzi or Cupeiro were as popular as soccer stars. Dedicated to all car racing fans.

Very good shot Florencio. Greetings John.
Very nice, Florencio. I love all kinds of race cars! It looks like this car is actually on the street and not the track. Was this a parade of race cars?

Leo, it was a regularity race and it crossed the town. Some of this guys weren't driving very slow I'll tell you. I'll try and upload a short video to YouTube so you hear the noise, they sound just great. One more thing, when I was a kid races were on the road, on circuits between 20 and 100 km long, and they did race across towns at full speed. My first race was when I was 5, and haven't lost the taste since
