What awesome views from the Bank of America building just down the street. The observation tower in the transamerician building was closed after 911.

HOWEVER; the Bank of America building doesn't have an observation deck. Their is an upscale resturant. They insist you buy at least one drink to view the sights from the top of 14 floors up. It's worth the $5 coffee. Just don't think of an earthquake while up thier...the building does sway in winds.
