OMG! jf I never noticed until you mentioned it. How very funny.

Hey Bits if you see this, perhaps its part of the "Old Man of the Mountain" that got washed down the river LoL!!!.

pretty funny - that faces does look pretty similar to the Dear Departed Old Man!

Marbiz - when you were in Franconia Notch did the tour stop at the place along the highway where one used to be able to see the profile? I thought they'd put a display there, but maybe it's still just in the planning stages. It really was such a shame it fell. I'd slow down and gaze up at him whenever I'd drive that bit of highway. It was a remarkable face.

marbiz - one thing I just remembered comparing your waterfall to the one I posted: In the intervening week, there was a lot of rain, so the waterfalls were a lot fuller when I returned the following week.

I still can't believe we must have been here at the same time! But I'd never been there before, and didn't know then this waterfall was there. I stayed to the western end of the area trying to get shots of the cliffs and the foliage.

K we were told of the wake the village had for "The old man" when he departed. We were told of the story but did not stop. It was pelting with rain anyway. I read about it at The Flume.

I am sure glad they made a Photo Stop at this spot. The extra rain sure makes your waterfall more luscious.
