This bridge, now only crossing the C&O Canal NHP, used to continue to the right, and cross the Potomac River, where the road carried passed through Hancock, WV. The rest of the bridge was washed out in the 1936 flood. This bridge, constructed in the 1890's, is made from steel marked Carnegie CO.
