Keith I have the most vivid memory of being up the hillside there and watching as the Keswick or 'Blue Box' Mobile Theatre rumbled over the pass below my feet in a series of black trucks.

Then for many years it resided in Keswick in its mobile vehicles all joined up to make a large "Building". Now I hear it lives in Leicester !

Nice scan of an old neg.

Thanks Jethro. I remember that theatre on the road to the lake in Keswick! They new have a high falootin', posh and permanent theatre on that road.

This shot was taken on a camping trip and my old blue ridge tent is just visible in the field, a third of the way in from the right, with a dark blue Cortina Mk IV parked next to it.

I'm trying desperately to fathom Mk IV Cortina Keith. I think I'm going to have to "Look that one up". Shows how long I have been away.

Was this site walking distance to the pub just under the crag who's name also escapes me? Best pub in the western world if my memory serves me right.

Those were the good days huh?

I don't know if we went to the same pub but it wasn't far.

We had driven up from London the previous night and pitched at the first place we found, just before dark. After being used to London prices, we were excited when we saw a sign on the side of a pub saying "Jennings Bitter - 62 pence a pint everywhere!"

Oh happy days!
