Milio “The Mad”

Milio “The Mad”, as he was called, is a personage from Plovdiv, died more than 35 years ago. As a student he got meningitis illness and tumbled scroll. Actually he was quite harmless, even nice. Everybody remembers that he had a good heart. But not everyone around him had good heart and often teased over it. Once even people threw him in the icy waters of the city lake – just for fun.

Indeed, it hovers around him an exciting story - the legend of his big “member”. But if it was so or not nobody could say it certainty in nowadays.

At that time some teased people tried to brink him somewhere, to tell him some stories about women and to make him excited. And at the end just to see his "legend."

There is a story about Milio - how a short-sighted young man took his bride at the window of Milio - to watch him undressing. Watched, they saw what they wished and then the girl - having made the comparison of "what" of what will be in her bed, for a whole life perhaps, debris engagement.

Many stories are told about Milio, but one is the most popular. A doctor, in whose bedroom tension for years silence, decided to check the "legend". She invited Milio, washed him, checked his "legend", fed him and finally told him not to tell anyone what had happened. Milio going to walk up the stairs and when repeating the behest came down the street, turned to the balcony of his benefactress, and began to cry: - Doctor-Ivanova and Ivanov, Doctor ... Ah! I promise not to tell anyone-oo-o ...

However, the glass overflow, some years ago when George Lazarov, a doctor who worked many years in the U.S. gives money for the monument of Milio. Danko Danev - the sculpture worked very hard and one day Milio bloomed on the main street of Plovdiv in full size. One arm is stuck deep in your pocket - who knows what this is about, what keeps guesses.

Since then, the city is divided in two. One half cursing Milio and lists of how the real heroes are still not having monuments. The other half, however, this statue is like, it is still part of the past of this city and some smiles and good spirits are never redundant to anyone.

I hope those who have read this information have liked the story.

mimipet’s greetings
