Pacific Storm - U.S. Coast Guard 'Intrepid' - The Bar Entrance - November 7 2009 - Charleston, Oregon (suz)
Well, John, the Deep.Blue Sea man, this one is for you! The Coast Guard boat was performing training maneuvers and we spectators were standing riveted to the scene with WOW being the only word in our vocabulary for a while :O)
Hello, dear Sile, how are you? Yes, the sea was definitely disturbed in this area for a couple of days. The boat fared well in its maneuvers, ready to go out and rescue boats and people who truly are in danger. I tip my hat to the brave of the Coast Guard - may I never need their help :O)
Thank goodness I haven't volunteered to do life boat duty Suzi! I much rather have been where you are standing than on the lifeboat! They deserve a medal for what they do! Wild!
I've crossed the Atlantic on a troop ship, and spent a lot of time on boats of many types, Amelia, but you'll never see me climb onto this one. I want to keep my never been ill record intact! Yes, a medal and a good pension plan - they are definitely the good guys/gals! :O)
Hi, Billy, and thanks much! I'd really like to talk with those Coast Guard folk - get their views on things, on dry land if you please! I've been thinking about them a lot :O)
Great hug, thanks so much, John! I thought you might have a small business doing what you love best, besides eating, that is :) I'm with you on the job thing - I would enjoy a small market for my prints and cards. Thanks for telling me about your great grand - and I think there's no sort of about it. Keep safe and well, my friend - hugs back :O)

Suzi, questo meraviglioso mare è molto arrabbiato, e quella piccola barca è in pericolo. Ciao Sile
