I'm jealous.

mardrl on November 14, 2009

WOW! Y* for sure!! I can't believe you got this just recently.

diannemcd on November 14, 2009

I'm jealous also, brilliant capture. Cheers, Dianne

Itallica on November 14, 2009

Guy and Dianne do you mean you are envious of kamalyn's photographic skills or jealous of the comments she received?

kamalyn on November 14, 2009

WOW, thanks for all those enthusiastic comments oronbb, Tery, Guy, Vladimir, Margot, and Dianne! LOL, honestly I'm a bit surprised, since I've been holding onto this for a few weeks, thinking it was just one more of my heron shots, and one that falls in all of my recent ruts: heron, foliage, and another danged reflection. (I'm not kidding!) It was pretty startling to come upon him close to shore and down in the water like that right at dawn. I think he's the same heron that later flew in on the mist.

Nawitka on November 15, 2009

Wow, you sure have all the luck! Totally amazing!

sugarbag1 on November 15, 2009

Perfect Best of. Y*

kamalyn on November 15, 2009

LOL, Nawitka: Says the lady who had a heron boat-sit for her! But maybe you have a point. Your Heron didn't cozy up to your Initial like my friend here did! (It was an amazing morning I've still lots of shots to sort through. An hour and a half and I made it back home by 7:45! )

wow. thanks so much for all your nice comments David!

Cool!

Jay Reeve on November 15, 2009

What a stunning shot! Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

kamalyn on November 15, 2009

Wow, thanks very much Barbara and Jay ! It's a thrill to get so many comments to this shot that I've been letting sit on the computer, thinking it was just another heron shot. Makes me wonder how many we all have sitting there on the hard drive that we think aren't worth posting!

Feenixx on November 15, 2009

Absolutely fantastic picture, gorgeous colours, very effective composition. Outstanding work, really.

Best wishes from Ireland!

kamalyn on November 15, 2009

Thanks so much for the great comments Feenix and Kenny !

whoelius on November 16, 2009

I think it was quite naughty of you to just steal Mrs. H`s photo like that, kamalyn.

!

That is an amazing capture kamalyn Such a perfect reflection and so clear. It gets a Y from me too and goes into my favourites.

JLourenco on November 18, 2009

Wonderful photo! This Heron is posing for you...lol!

Salutations, JLourenco

Norrel on November 18, 2009

A two-headed Heron! If you turn the picture a quarter to the left, it looks like a buffalo.

kamalyn on November 18, 2009

LOL, Norrel, that face from the side view is part of the reason I really like this - I thought it looked a little bit like a Raccoon. But I hadn't seen how the heron's heads made horns. Cool! (But even seeing that, this photo will NOT be getting one of the tags Guy likes to use, though!)
