Nick, you are right, some people do pay to have a drive, but not on public trains!! Here's a glimpse of what the driver saw 30 seconds ago. Those with sharp eyes (Isabelle!!) will also notice that the guy in the photo is the fireman. The driver is just visible on the other side of the loco with a flat cap on!
