The first library that Vienna, Virginia, is known to have had dates to approximately 1897, seven years after the town was incorporated.

Originally, this structure stood about an eighth of a mile away, at the corner of Maple Avenue (i.e., Rt. 123) and Center Street S (now the location of the Patrick Henry Branch of the Fairfax County Public Library system). It now sits on Mill Street N, between Maple Avenue and Church Street.

At the present time, this building is open from 1-4pm on the first Sunday of each month.
