Gracias, la cámara usada es la Nikon D200, con objetivo Nikon 18-200 f/3.5-5-6 a 120mm, f10, 1/5 seg, ISO 100 + tripode y filtro degradado neutro para conservar detalle en el cielo (que como puedes ver tenía unos colores impresionantes). La foto está hecha al amanecer (al rededor de las 4:30 de la mañana).

Very unique as I usually do not see penguings in wider views like yours, showing their evironment as well.

The wave speed/ movement is quite fast and it gives immediately a sense of movement, against the penguins that direct towards them.

Low angle added some more foreground elements and gave more depth to the image.

Hay que volar a las Malvinas, a Stanley (la "capital"), y de ahí se coge una avioneta hasta Sea Lion Island. El viaje se puede organizar en la oficina de turismo de Stanley. No es barato pero merece la pena. Hay colonias de pinguinos, focas elefante, leones marinos y varias otras especies.

Por imagenes y sitios como el de tu foto vale la pena estudiar fotografia, es una gran suerte poder viajar hasta alli pero mas afortunado eres de poder hacer ese tipo de fotos, que aparte de perdurar ya para siempre en tu mente perdurara en papel (en este caso formato digital)

Tuvo que ser muy emocionante estar en ese presiso momento alli, con esa iluminacion y ver a los animales y ser capas de hacer la foto, yo creo que tal vez en tu caso, no huviera sido capas ni de acordarme que llevo una camara ensima, pq un paisaje asi deja envovado a cualquiera :D

I think it has more to do with the fact that there were waves breaking up the reflection. The sea looks smooth because it was a slightly slow photograph. There is reflection on the sea at the back. The reflection of the water on the beach is very bright because I was using a ND Gradient filter to make the top half of the image (containing the very bright sky) darker in order to maintain its colour, however the ND fliter was not acting on the bottom half with the penguins and water so the reflections are almost washed out.
