I used to swim to this tank when we lived on Saipan in the early to mid 1950's. There is a bomb crater next to the tank - we floated a plank out to the tank - stuck it in the top, open hatch, and used it as a diving board, using the bomb crater as our diving pool. Very beautiful fish made their home under the tank.
