Agreed, everything about this aircraft says 'I'm too short and squat to be a C-5.' The C-17A appears squatter and has larger engines in relation to the fuselage, the C-5A/B/X models have a less-rounded fuselage, a nose loading hatch, and a T-tail, not cruciform like the C-17. Also, the C-17A is from Boeing and is relatively young, the C-5 is from Lockheed-Martin and has been in service for years.
