Saint Amand les Eaux créer vers l'an 633-639 par le moine Amand, évêque de Maëstricht.
Située sur la Grand-Place, la tour abbatiale servait de portail à l'église de l'abbaye bénédictine de Saint-Amand. Construite en 1626 elle mesure 82 m de haut.
