Not one of my usual landscapes, I know, but it makes a change perhaps. Photographed early this year whilst in Cornwall. He seems a friendly sort of chap, no doubt waiting for me to hand him a worm!
Yes they are in Nz but never got a chance to get a photo of any a nice shot you can see the concentration in that face. check hobbit hole. steve
Birds are a nice subject! You captured it very well!
Hi Jan, not getting as much attention as my owl but I like this, I am happy that you do to. Blackbirds , are, I think, my favourite bird, I love their singing. We have 2 or 3, nesting regularly in our garden despite many cats being in the area. Regards, Herb
Hi Herbert Like your new bird!! Photo is very good.
Hi Steve, nice to see you here. Yes, I think, you too, like these sweet singers. Cheers, Herb
I see your reflection in his eye, Herb. Good to see you!
So you do! whoelius, well spotted. Just shows how these birds keep an eye on things. I did manage to get unnaturally close to it so I think it was a little used to strangers.
David -another visit another compliment. I love these Blackbirds and to me this is better than my owl as it's more natural!
Cheers again, Herb
Beautiful shot of a lovely blackbird.
Not the easiest bird to photograph as I have been finding out whenever I try.
Hi Andrew -you are right. We have about three pairs in our garden but to get good photo's is difficult. I was quite lucky with this, as it seemed almost tame and did not fly away as I got near it.Glad you like it. Nice to hear from someone up there across the border -keep warm, Herb
Lovely capture Herb, I am enjoying your gallery...
