Greetings from Sicily
I'm not sure what it means when you say it's painted, Graham. anyway it's beautiful. warm regards, pom'
thanks so much steve, sweet_dreamer555, Karen, Pierre, Rosario, Cieja0, Pom', Peter - sorry to be slow in replying - you know the reason - alerts and all that - but your comments are greatly appreciated.
Steve, Karen - thanks for your faith - I'm slightly undermined by my knowledge of the reality of the scene - more just a view across the fields really - just a personal foible really, but i need to feel confidence in the truth of what I'm doing :?
Pom' - just looked that way to me - nothing more :)
thanks for the YS Pierre :)))
and thanks for the personal rating Peter
very best regards to all
Très belle atmosphère Grahham !
Graham Hobbs or John Constable? Hmmmm not to sure! A beautiful shot this is going straight to my faves!
Hi **Graham it's been yonks since I dropped by shame on me!
Warmest Christmas wishes sent your way and a very Happy New year!
thank-you Michel - I mean to reply to ALL your generous comments - I can't believe I've let 3 weeks slip by - but life never slows down - but i wish you the very best - and good shooting for 2010
Sam - you're too kind :) - belated warmest Christmas wishes and the very best to you and yours in the New Year - you've had a brilliant year photographically, and I really look forward to seeing what 2010 inspires from you and your camera.
nature is beautiful. Good job!
I can't believe it was still so green so recently Micha - but thank-you - it was one of those times when the light and the scene just come together for a moment to make magic :)
What trees are these, Big G? I think I'll keep coming back to this one, so I'd be interested in anything you can tell me about it.
Hi Willem - what a nice surprise signing in and seeing your comments - I'll get back to you on the trees, but I think that the slightly yellowy leaved ones inthe middle are probably oaks - this part of Dorset is full of them (and the county council intends to keep it that way) - the bark hasthe right craggy roughness, but they are bare od leaves at the moment, and need closer inspection to be 100% sure. I don't know if Ed suggested that the lady wife should start posting on Panoramio, but here pics would most suitably adorn it, and it's a lot of fun, and an incentive to keep snapping.
warmest regards for now
Yes, I'm sure you're right and they are Quercus robur -- they have that typical globular shape. Thanks, Graham -- I'll be visiting regularly for my aesthetic fix.
