Sorry I missed you Ma&PaMoose! What a wonderful description you gave of this photo. I always enjoy reading them. I think maybe the clouds were “burnt” out of the sky by the camera choosing settings that gave the best color saturation for the main part of the photo which was darker but you could be right about the polarizing effect of the water as well. I am glad you enjoyed my photo…I always enjoy your visits!
