Picture taken from the top Of what the locals call Bull Hill. The area is unique to mainland Nova Scotia with few trees and lots of large granite boulders. There are rare flowering plants, wild cranberries and blueberries as far as the eye can see, there is also good brook trout fishing with about 40 lakes and stills in an 80 square mile area, although most of them can only be accessed on foot. Part of the barrens in the bonnet lake area is government protected.
