Good morning, Heydie! It's wonderful to hear from you, and thank you for your fine appreciation of this beautiful view. It is really lovely, isn't it? The sky was so very blue, as reflected in the water. I was in awe.

I hope you are doing well, and that your day is great. Thank you again for your kind words.

Very best regards from the USA,

Mary Alice

What a beautiful blue-sky-day this must have been Mary Alice!! With the russet autumn colours it looks like a surreal painting.

Very lovely and well spotted from your eagle's eyrie. ;D

Well, I'm back. Love this photo! The trees, the boats, the river (or is it a lake?), the house and the elevation is perfect! I see this is north of Atlanta.

By the way, has it snowed through the past couple years in Yatesville?

Greetings from Hephzibah,

Hey Dear Mary, I am sucked right into this photo. Have been here, but have not seen such a gorgeous photo of it. The colors are just so vibrant, better than I've ever seen I think. I even enlarged it and that too was so crystal clear and breathtaking. Even that little canoe scooting right up the middle of the lake out there is detectable in the zoom-in. I LOVE Stone Mountain, have a dear friend, class mate who lives there. It is especially popular at Christmas time with the Christmas shops and entertainment available. My oldest son and wife takes little Elizabeth there during the holidays to a wonderful Christmas shoppe.

Seems AGES since chatting with you, I hope you are well, I've not been for a few days, but hope to be soon. Surely wanted to make sure you knew how SO very much I love this photo.

Warm and special wishes to you/ Sarah

Greetings, Alan, and thank you so much for visiting this wonderful place. That swimming bird you're referring to is actually a fellow in a boat! =) I was perched high above on the worlds largest piece of exposed granite, thus making everything below appear extra, extra tiny.

Indeed, Autumn is working it's magic in every direction, and I sure did enjoy the view. Thank you so much for enjoying it with me.

Very best regards from Georgia,

Mary Alice

Good evening, Kyle!

Yes indeed, this is very much near Atlanta. I was actually standing on top of STONE MOUNTAIN!* What a magnificent view. I felt like I could see the entire world from up there. It's 1,683 feet above sea level ~ something like 825 feet tall. For a granite rock, that is most impressive!

It's been a while since I visited the place, so it was really a great time. I felt like I was seeing it all again for the very first time.

Thanks so much for your kind visit, and I hope you're keeping warm on this very chilly Georgia night.

Warmest regards,

Mary Alice

P.S. No, I didn't make it to Atlanta fest, but I'm hoping to go in 2010. I wonder if Flyleaf will be there? We need to look into that!

Greetings, David, and thank you so much for your enthusiasm! I am very pleased that you've enjoyed this pretty view. The yellow star and 'best of' vote are so greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for such kind praise and your lively interest! =)

I hope this evening finds you well.

All the best from the USA,

Mary Alice
