Good shot, Vasco. Don't you just hate it when the traffic won't stand still for the second picture? Drives me crazy. Those drivers should have their licenses revoked.

Waves never cooperate either.

Dear Vasco Pires,
I (Gregory Richardson, omomom@hotmail.com) appreciate your 3D pictures. I recently took a 3D photo of the Golden Gate Bridge, as you know. I asked a tourist to shoot one picture when I counted to 3. We were 100 feet apart, and it is almost right. The cars moved just a little. See [ http://www.panoramio.com/photo/2928499 ]. Send me your email address and I can show you some more of my 2 camera 3D shots with waves, etc.

Thats amazing! I thought they were made with a special 3D camera! Do you use two cameras of the same model to shoot? Or different cameras can do the job?
Did you brief the tourist on the angle and direction of the photo or yu went on pure luck?
Carefull in choosing the other photographer though, at 100 feet he could run away with your camera!! ;)
Regards
(I already added your Email to my msn)

I use 2 identical digital cameras. This helps to ensure that the zoom level and other settings are identical. For my Golden Gate in 3D shot, I did brief the other tourist on where to point the camera, and to snap the image when I counted 3. I chose a male tourist with a girlfriend present in order to minimize camera theft.
I use Corel Draw to process images. I shoot 3D images with two identical handheld digital cameras. Unfortunately, this results in one or both images being twisted relative to the horizon or each other. So, I need CorelDraw to untwist one or both images by a small angle. As far as I can figure out, SPM can only twist by 90 degrees. With CorelDraw I can also adjust brightness, hue, intensity, etc. SOMETHING IMPORTANT: My brother came up with a great idea. If you purchase "3D Art Masterpieces" at BarnesandNoble.com, you can glue your images into the stereoscope book for others to view. This means others who can't yet master viewing X3D (Cross eyed 3D). Images pasted into the book must be S3D (Stereoscope 3D with the left image on the left and the right image on the right). THESE 3D BOOKS MAKE TREMENDOUS GIFTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE RECIPIANTS ARE SHOT IN 3D.
I AM GLAD YOU NOW HAVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS, BUT I STILL DO NOT HAVE YOURS, SO I AM AS YET ABLE TO FORWARD SOME OF MY OTHER 3D IMAGES TO YOU. I WILL NEED TO WATCH FOR YOUR EMAIL SO THAT I CAN FETCH IT OUT OF THE TRASH BIN ON MY EMAIL. SO, PLEASE SEND IT SOON IF YOU SO WISH FOR ME TO CATCH YOU IN THE FILTERED OUT EMAILS. (me: Gregory Richardson, omomom@hotmail.com).

Thanks for the informations and for the 3D books idea!
The Email is: vasco.pires@netcabo.pt
I can't wait to see more 3D photos from you. Although I hope you continue to post them on Panoramio so that our 3D friends can see them also.

Oops! I got the 3D book title wrong. The correct stereoscope book title is "Art Masterpieces in 3D" by Casterline (ISBN: 0760784590)which I can find only on BarnesandNoble.com. They are having a special now for $6.30 each! I usually order 20 or 40 at a time so I have them for gifts. By the way, the art 3d photos are AWFUL! It's like they cut out paper dolls and placed them at different depths. So, this is fake 3D. But, the book is awsome raw material. Also, if you paste too many photos into the book, it gets kind of fat.

Dear Vasco, nice 3D shot, almost aerial. Best wishes, Volkan

Thanks Volkan. I was with your aerial shots in mind when I shot this one

Thanks! I will probably post a few fresh ones in the next few days. I haven't edited them yet so I hope they're fine.

Ah Ah! this shot has huge hits count. When most people see it on thumbnail probably think it's a falling or broken bridge! I'm sure they get very much disapointed with it...
